Austin Sinclair was always my forever. Even before our parents got married.

He was my handsome prince, my future husband, and my happily ever after from the day he arrived in our hometown with his mom, a scared preteen boy running from a bad dad. Those are the facts, and they donโ€™t change just because our parents got married the year he left for collegeโ€ฆ

From the time I was a kid, football was my escape, my chance to be something better.
Coach Jack Bradford was my idol, the man who could open doors for me.
I never thought seriously about his daughter.
She was the little girl who rode me piggyback and told everyone I was her handsome prince, and we were going to live happily ever after. Every. Single. Day.
    It was little-girl make-believe.

Now Iโ€™m back home, a football star, a single dad, and a widower.
Iโ€™ve achieved everything I set out to accomplish. Being the new head coach at my old high school is icing on the cake. I wanted to be Coach Jack, and on paper, I am.
The only thing missing is love.

But I find something more at homeโ€”a girl I can talk to, who knows me better than anyone.
She takes care of my daughter, who loves her instantly. She never stops telling me Iโ€™m worthy, Iโ€™m good. Then when I see her in that white bikini, I realize sheโ€™s rightโ€ฆ
Sheโ€™s not a little girl anymore.

But Iโ€™m eight years older than she is. Iโ€™m her stepbrother.
I have no right to want her this way.
Until another man tries to take her, and I realize itโ€™s too late.
Kim Bradford is my queen. I claim her, and nothing is going to steal our happily ever after.

(CLAIM is a small-town, single-dad, age-gap, โ€œwill they or wonโ€™t theyโ€ football romance. Itโ€™s packed with yearning, angst, found-family, spice, and so much love. No cheating, no cliffhanger, no third act breakup, and a guaranteed HEA.)

โ€œLast time I looked, we all had bad dads.โ€ Edwardโ€™s tone is serious.

โ€œJack Bradfordโ€™s daughter deserves a good man. Someone like her dad.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m pretty sure she tried that already.โ€

    โ€œWhat are you saying?โ€

โ€œYou had your chance, and now sheโ€™s moved on. I hope.โ€

โ€œWhat the f–k does that mean?โ€ My voice rises.

    โ€œIt means this isnโ€™t your business.โ€

    โ€œF–k, yeah it is.โ€

โ€œHow? What are your feelings for Kim?โ€

The skin on my neck tightens the way it does every time this topic comes up, and I reach back to scrub it away.

    โ€œI donโ€™t have feelings for her,โ€ I lie. โ€œSheโ€™s just a kid.โ€

โ€œSheโ€™s a grown woman. Sheโ€™s smart and beautiful, and she loves with all of her heart.โ€

โ€œSheโ€™s my sister.โ€ Only, the words are soft, without conviction.

โ€œShe has no blood relation to you. You left for college when your parents were married. Youโ€™ve never shared a house with her.โ€

    โ€œWhatโ€™s your point, Edward?โ€

He exhales heavily, lips tensing. โ€œIt means your window of opportunity is rapidly closing. If you want something, youโ€™d better act now before itโ€™s too late.โ€

    โ€œI donโ€™t know if I can do that.โ€โ€œThen youโ€™ll only have yourself to blame.โ€
