Legend has it, the man you kiss at a wedding is the man you’ll marry.
In my case, it’s nothing but trouble.

    Spencer Carrollton is a dark-haired, hazel-eyed beast.
When I collided with him at my cousin’s wedding, I wasn’t looking for love.
But his naughty eyes flashed, his full lips curled into a knowing smile, and I should have run.
    I didn’t.
    I kissed him instead.

Then he gave me a job when I needed it the most.
I never get involved with clients, but Spencer Carrollton is wickedly handsome in a bespoke suit.
He’s devastatingly sexy out of it.
He’s possessive, demanding, and the best sex I’ve ever had.

He’s an arrogant billionaire, who thinks I’ll fall at his feet, but I’m not going down that road again.
But he pulls me out of danger and insists I move in with him until it’s safe.
As the nights pass and we grow closer, I know I’m losing this fight.
Spencer Carrollton always gets what he wants.
The trouble is, he wants me.

(TROUBLE is a STAND-ALONE enemies-to-lovers, billionaire boss romance. No cheating. No cliffhanger.)

He lifts his face and presses his mouth to my forehead, and a wash of emotion floods my insides. He’s not angry right now.  He’s not pushing boundaries and throwing up walls. Damn him for melting my heart.

I’m sure it’s all the champagne we’ve drunk, but I want to keep him this way. Where will he go in the morning? Will he remember his rules or will something have changed?

And as I think it, I know this is what he’s talking about. The second night is supposed to make me think he’s changed, and I’ve melted his heart.

Messy, messy trouble. It won’t be me.

His lips trace down my temple to the side of my cheek. “Go to sleep. I want to fuck you again before dawn. I want to fuck you until I don’t feel this way anymore.”

My brow furrows. “How do you feel?”

His eyes are heavy, and my arm is around his waist as we stagger to the California king bed. Crawling beneath the sheets, he reaches out and wraps a strong arm around my waist, pulling me flush against his chest. “I feel like the Beast.”
